| Entry regulations The festival is open to film- and videoproductions on all formats, except HD. The screening selection will be made in co-operation with a Programme Council, consisting of anthropologists, documentary film makers, researchers and producers. To apply, please send a DVD screener to BEELD VOOR BEELD. The DVD’s will stay in the possession of the festival for internal/educational use only. During the festival all entries can be screened in a booth at the video library on festival premises. Apart from the DVD, you have to send in the following items: A synopsis (maximum 120 words, on CD or as an e-mail attachment in Windows format), and press releases, if available. A short biography / filmography of the film maker (also on CD or as an e-mail attachment in Windows format) Two photos of the production to be included in the festival catalogue and on the website and for promotional purposes (300 dpi., on CD or as an e-mail attachment). The photos will stay in the possession of the festival. The entry must be in English or have English subtitles. The film maker should be present at the screening of his/her production. If the filmmaker can not attend the screening, his or her film will not be selected. Film makers of productions selected will be notified before friday March 16, 2012. In case of selection, the copyright holder authorizes BEELD VOOR BEELD to use a 4 minute clip of the production for promotional purposes through public media like television and Internet. The clip will also be included in the BEELD VOOR BEELD website. BEELD VOOR BEELD will accommodate invited film makers for a limited number of days depending on the available budget. Accommodation will be in modest hotels or as personal guests of the organisers. In some cases BEELD VOOR BEELD will reimburse travel expenses to film makers. However, this is subject to the budget and the possibility for the filmmaker to find his/her own funding. Submission deadline: Friday January 13, 2012, 5 pm.
